本馆所成陈列的标本按恩格勤分类系统分类，涵盖了藻类、菌类、地衣、苔藓植物、蕨类植物、裸子植物、被子植物、动物类和矿物类生药，共计300余件标本。
生药学是药学专业一门十分重要的专业课程，熟悉和研究大体标本有助于更好地理解和掌握生药的本质，为成为一个合格的生药工作者奠定扎实的基础。
